My work in art education is an essential part of my creative practice. Supporting others in developing their artistic voice, confidence, and self-expression reflects the same values of presence, creativity, and inner connection that inform my own painting and drawing.
My creative practice is also intertwined with my spiritual life. From an early age, I was aware of an inner landscape and drawn to practices that offered connection to it. Ones that offered perspective on everyday stresses and opened a space for deeper connection, intuition, and creative flow.
I qualified as a yoga teacher in 2009, training with the Internationally renowned Yoga and Pilates Teacher, Elena Voyce PhD. Since then, I have completed many workshops and trainings in yoga, including Anusara Immersion and Special Yoga courses for children with autism. My yoga education has included a special journey to India where I spent time learning at an Ayurvedic hospital and studying laughing yoga. I taught in schools, Nuffield Gyms, Sweaty Betty Hampstead and for Yoga Magazine via charity Yoga Gives Back, where I served as an ambassador and fundraiser.

Various paintings, Acrylic on canvass.
I have a longstanding transcendental meditation practice and have attended meditation retreats such as a 10 day silent course which included 10 hours of meditation a day. Many of my paintings are a result of altered or meditative states, or simply ‘being’ in the process of making which holds many similarities to meditating. I am currently training to become an EFT practitioner as I believe that EFT is a useful tool to help people heal and connect with authentic personal expression.

Kali, pen and ink. 2019
Kali represents the transformative power at the heart of all creation—the force that clears away what is stagnant so something new can emerge. In this piece, she stands as the embodied reminder that creativity can be an act of liberation – wild, intuitive, and profoundly alive.
